Ultimate Sportfishing is proud to now offer Salt Water Charters in and around the Vancouver waterfront. Come and experience the great fishing that locals have been keeping a secret for years. We are very lucky to have two of the most skilled professional saltwater guides in Vancouver, Howard Barber and Steve Robinson, join our team this year!

Chinook salmon is the game fish most pursued, and can be caught year round, 4 other species of pacific salmon almon and various bottom fish may also be caught depending on the season. Crab and prawn fishing is a nice way to finish a great day on the water.

All of our ocean boats are Coast Guard approved for our guests comfort and safety, as well as being equipped with all of the top notch electronics, and fishing gear needed to get our customers into that Ultimate trophy fish of a life time. We are currently booking for winter feeder Chinook salmon on the Vancouver waterfront, with many fish being caught well into the mid teens. Be sure to take advantage of our introductory package and book your Salt Water fishing adventure now and see what the locals have been catching for decades.

VANCOUVER AREA SALT WATER REPORT JULY 1st. 2007 After one of the best winter Salt water fishery the Vancouver area has seen in years, local fishing for salmon has been spotty as of late. Vancouver harbour has had some good fishing days but lately the fish are
just under the legal size limit, with the odd biggy in the mix. Seals continue to take their fair share by, taking any salmon unfortunate enough to bite your presentation. Anglers are lucky to boat any legal size fish! As of the past 2 weeks, Hole in the Wall in Howe Sound has been the most consistent with fish being taken by those persistent anglers. This should get better over the next few weeks as with another areas of the sound as these migrating Springs are headed for the Squamish River. Fishing at 75 to 150 feet, Anchovies and spoons seem to be the most productive. Across the Straight, Thrasher Rock to Nanaimo has been productive as late with some springs hitting the scales in the mid 20's, and some boats having multiple fish days. Seals here also to manage to frustrate anyone trying to take home a fresh feed of salmon. As a reminder, fishers should check the reg's for closed area's due to
rockfish closures as they affect all fishing activities. Tight lines to all.
