2nd. Annual Family Fun Day
Over the last couple of years we block off one day on the charter schedule for our guides and their families to get together for a day of fishing, games and fun in the sun on the banks of the Fraser river and yesterday was the day. Our day started off at around 11 am as the boats started to show up at Queens bar, and it didn’t take long for the bar rods to be cast out and the festivities began. The barbeque was sparked up by Trish and the hamburgers and hotdogs were on the grill, big Dave brought his generator to power up the blender, and I started blending up my secret concoction known as the “Fraser river Bahama Mama”
The gang was all in for the casting competition, pike minnow derby and target shooting, some nice prized were won compliments of our clients and the agate hunting was exceptional, with one agate being found that was the size of a baseball! It was really nice to sit around watching the bar rods and talking to the guys about the great fishing trips we have done with our clients so far this year. The Chinook salmon didn’t want to cooperate with our spin ‘n glows, but we all still had a great time anyways. We are really fortunate to have such a great team of hard working guides that truly enjoy seeing our guests catch fish. Thanks to all of our guides and their families for coming out and we look forward to next year’s Ultimate Sportfishing Family fun day.
